The School of Curious Minds is a proposed tuition-free public charter school opening in Fall 2028 with grades 4–6 and growing to serve grades 4–8 in Clayton County.

Our Vision:

Rooted in our Inquiry to Application model, our vision is to create a school where students’ questions hold just as much power as their answers. Through rigorous academics, daily intervention or acceleration, and meaningful opportunities to apply their learning, students develop the knowledge, confidence, and agency to take ownership of their education and contribute to their communities.

We exist to cultivate confident, self-aware learners who think critically, lead with intention, and see curiosity as their greatest superpower.

Students receive rigorous, standards-aligned instruction strengthened by inquiry, critical thinking, and opportunities to apply their learning. Daily intervention or acceleration ensures that each student receives the support or challenge needed to grow.
Learning is connected to the people, places, challenges, and opportunities within Clayton County. Community partners help students understand how classroom learning can be used to examine questions, solve problems, and contribute locally.
Students learn to notice, examine, and understand the world around them. Through reflection, discussion, and exposure to diverse perspectives, they develop self-awareness, empathy, and the confidence to make thoughtful decisions.
Our model is designed to respond to how students learn. Small, connected classrooms, daily intervention, purposeful grouping, and multiple pathways toward shared academic standards allow students to receive support without lowering expectations.
